Basic operation guide for plate and frame filter press

1. Press the plate frame filter press.

The first step in the cycle is to tighten the frame filter press. The filter plate of the plate and frame filter press is movable, and the filter plate of the plate and frame filter press is closely arranged by the cylinder piston rod. The compression pressure of the cylinder is provided and controlled by the hydraulic system. When the pressure drops, the pressure can be automatically supplemented (called the automatic pressure retaining filter press) to ensure the compression force of the cylinder. Cylinder compression force is an important parameter index of plate and frame filter press. Sufficient compression force is the premise of ensuring no leakage, no spray, and is the basis of dewatering performance of plate and frame filter press.

2. Feed (feed).

Open the feed pump to feed the plate and frame filter press. The material is driven into the filter chamber and gradually forms mud cake. The solid portion remains on the surface of the filter cloth (each filter plate is covered with the filter cloth), while the liquid portion penetrates into the filter cloth and flows to the filtrate outlet along the diversion groove on the filter plate. Initially, the filtration pressure is low. As the cake gradually forms, the pressure inside the filter chamber increases and the mud cake is squeezed and dehydrated.

3. Filter.

In general, there are several ways to tell that the filtering process is complete. The first is to see that very little liquid is coming out of the nozzle, indicating that the mud cake has been sufficiently squeezed that almost no filtrate is coming out. The second is to observe the feed pump, when the working interval of the feed pump is gradually extended, the two extrusion interval of the pneumatic diaphragm pump is about 30-60 seconds, that is, it is full.

4. Unload materials

The cylinder piston rod is withdrawn and the press plate is pulled back, leaving discharge space between the filter plates. Then pull the filter plates apart one by one and remove the cake between the filter plates. When unloading, attention should be paid to cleaning the residual filter material residue on the press cloth, so as not to accumulate on the sealing surface. The next time when pressing down, the seal is not strict, spraying phenomenon. Drawing plate has automatic and manual two ways, users can choose according to their acceptance of the workload of drawing plate. Usually, we recommend that medium and large models choose automatic pull plate, plate number more models choose automatic pull plate.
