A, improve pulp concentration
As the slurry concentration increases, so does the productivity of the filter press. Therefore, the slurry concentration can be appropriately improved to improve the productivity of the filter press. In general, most processing plants require a slurry concentration of more than 40%.
B, reduce the fine matter in the slurry
There are many fine particles in the stock, so the filter quality of the stock is poor. In production, the coarse grain can be "incorporated" into the fine grain slurry to change the size composition of the cake and improve water permeability. Fine mineral particles can also be condensed into a flocculent to form a loose cake on the surface of the filter cloth.
C. Specific analysis of flotation reagent properties.
The flotation agent contained in the pulp is more complex. Most flotation agents reduce the filter performance of the pulp and only a few flotation agents improve the filter performance of the pulp. Therefore, the filtration effect of flotation agent in filter press should be judged according to the type, nature and dosage of flotation agent.
The properties of filter cake mainly include the porosity of filter cake, filter cake resistance, filter cake cracking, etc. The larger the porosity of filter cake, the lower the water content of filter cake.
The resistance of filter cake will affect the filtration and dehydration rate of filter press. Cake resistance depends on cake porosity, thickness and slurry viscosity. During operation, the thickness of each part of the filter cake should be kept uniform, so that the resistance of the filter cake is evenly distributed.
In general, the finer the size of the material in the slurry, the greater the pressure required. But the pressure difference is too large, will accelerate the damage of the filter medium, increase the power consumption.
Cotton or fiber cloths are commonly used to filter media. Clogging of filter cloth will inevitably affect the productivity of filter press in the process of filtration and dehydration. Because of mechanical blockage, the filter cloth is blocked, and the sediment produced by the chemical reaction is blocked. When the clogging of press cloth seriously affects the productivity, it should be cleaned or replaced in time.
It is recommended to select filter media according to the following requirements:
A. High recovery rate of filter material.
B, small filtration resistance.
C, can meet certain mechanical strength requirements, durable.
D, not easy to plug, easy to clean.
E. Easy to install and disassemble.
