Working principle of diaphragm filter press

The diaphragm press filter is composed of diaphragm plate and chamber filter plate. Under the pressure of thefeed pump, the slurry is input into the filter chamber. The solid and liquid in the slurry are separated by the filtermedium (filter cloth). When the solid in the slurry forms a cake, air or water is introduced into the diaphragm,then the whole diaphragm will bulge up and press. The filter cake is forced to further dehydrate, and the solid inthe filter chamber is fully pressed. Reducing water content, especially for the filtration of viscous materials andusers who require higher water content, this machine has its unique characteristics. The filter plate is mouldedby reinforced polypropylene. The diaphragm is inlaid with the polypropylene plate, which is firm, not easy

to faloff and has a long service life. lt is equipped with a variety of safety devices to ensure the safety of operatorsand the normaloperation offilter press.

Diaphragm press filter has high pressing pressure and good corrosion resistance. The main difference between the diaphragm press and the ordinary box filter press is that two elastic films are installed on both sides of the filter plate (composite rubber diaphragm is the whole diaphragm). During the operation, when the feeding is over, the high pressure fluid medium can be injected into the diaphragm plate. At this time, the whole diaphragm will bulge and press the filter cake, so as to realize the further dehydration of the filter cake.
